Carol Moyles
Landscape Architect
“Gardening is an instrument of grace.” – May Sarton
Carol Moyles is a highly versatile Landscape Architect with more than 25 years of landscape work. Her portfolio includes a wide range of academic, recreational, real estate, and close to her heart, residential projects.
Carol’s love of horticulture and design began at the University of Delaware, where she received an undergraduate degree in Plant Sciences. Her early work experience in the mid-Atlantic region included landscape design, horticulture, and the nursery trade. She holds the Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Cornell University and has lived in Washington DC and Boston, with professional experience working in small and large multi-disciplinary landscape architecture firms in these metropolitan areas. Dedicated to her profession, Carol serves on the executive Committee of the Boston Society Society of Landcape Architects (BSLA) and is Co-Chair of the Town of Belmont Historic Commission.
Carol’s passion for plants and design fuels her collaboration with clients and allied professionals to shape landscapes that can be either simple or complex, small to large scale and across time. By listening to the project goals in relation to understanding the context and specific site and environmental conditions, she is able to synthesize issues and solve problems—and create beautiful landscapes. Not only is Carol a nimble designer, she loves having her hands in the dirt, trying out new plant combinations and making outdoor environments memorable.
